FRYER family of Hampshire

I have just discovered that my father, christened Fred FRYER in 1916, had an older sister who was born in 1911 in Gosport, Hampshire. She was a few days old at the time of the 1911 Census and was named as Winifred Grace FRYER. Their mother Edith Blanche FRYER was not married and the child may have been put up for adoption. I have been unable to find any other records and do not know if it is possible to trace adoptions which occurred at that time.
HELP ME PLEASE IF YOU KNOW OF HER OR HOW I MIGHT TRACE HER.
