I was searching on genesreunited when I received your email so I had a brief search for Amy Fryer and found a person who was born 1905 in glos and as the owner of the tree had the name Joycelin I presumed it was you and gave them access to my tree. It was only after the message was sent I could see the owners surname and noted it wasnt Ponting. Is this person you but signed in under you maiden name?
I would imagine there is a connection between my Fryer and Amy's as ironically mine were living in Brookend in about 1890 and in the Hinton area.
When I was small I actually lived in Old Brookend ( about 6 houses from the bottom of the hill and the people next door ( 4 doors south of the lane in the middle of the Brookend slope) was an Albert Fryer and his wife and they were about the same age as Aunty Amy. I can not recollect Aunty Amy visiting them or saying they were a relative of hers but........
I would be very surprised if we were not connected somewhere but how far back who knows. The news of Berkeley library is interesting.
Please let me know if you are the "Jocelyn of genes"
