Well, that all fits much better then! Do you think Eva may have married twice? Possibly a FRYMAN by birth, married a THROOP, and then married your g-grandfather George PATTERSON? Something to definitely follow up on. Since Eva T. PATTERSON died in 1953, it would be easy enough to get her death certificate and obit.

The link for the cemetery information is: http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/morris/library/cemetery/wcityne-sc.htm. There is another older couple buried there as well that may have been old enough to be George PATTERSON's parents.

So back to the FRYMAN info. Children of Fredrick FRYMAN were as follows: Maude Gertrude b. 30 Jul 1879, Harry b. Feb 1881, Fredrick Grant b. Oct 1887, Helen b. Dec 1890, then Frank, George and Eva that I didn't have birthdates for. If the Eva buried in White City is Eva FRYMAN, then she was b. 1875.

In my initial post, I indicated that Gertrude DABLER was the mother of at least some of the children. She has been my brick wall ancestor. I picked up her name from Maude Gertrude Fryman BINGAMAN's death certificate.

But, I do know that Fredrick FRYMAN was married to Anna M. BILVILL. Date of marriage not known for sure, but 1900 and 1910 census data indicates the couple had been married for 25 and 35 years, respectively. That would place their marriage right about 1875. Which means that Anna and not Gertrude was the mother of my g-grandmother Maude. Since Eva was b. in 1875, then I'm not sure who was the mother of Eva. I corresponded with another researcher last year who indicated that Fredrick Grant FRYMAN was the son of Fredrick and Anna FRYMAN.

Fredrick FRYMAN was the son of Samuel FRYMAN and Mary SHEPPARDS/SHEPHERD. Samuel was b. 15 Jan 1807 in Westmoreland Co. VA, m. Mary 09 Feb 1832 in Belmont Co. OH and d. 13 Nov 1889 in Holt Co. MO. Mary SHEPPARDS was b. 28 Jan 1814, and d. 09 Aug 1879 in Holt Co. MO. The couple is supposedly buried in Brodbeck Cemetery, but I've not yet been able to visit to confirm.

Fredrick FRYMAN was b. 31 Dec 1840, probably in Delaware Co. OH, d. 11 Jul 1923 in Pomona, Franklin Co. KS. Wife Anna M. BILVILL b. Dec 1852 in IN, d. 1932, probably in Pomona, Franklin Co. KS. Pomona was their last known residence (1920 census), and both are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona, Franklin Co. KS. I have no further information on alleged wife Gertrude DABLER, although I have located several DABLER families living in the same area of Holt Co. MO as the FRYMAN family.

By the way Fredrick FRYMAN served in the Civil War, as a Confederate out of MO. I would very much like to obtain his service record, but one must write directly to MO.

This should all give you some grist for the mill! I have some further information on the grandparents of Fredrick that I will post next time around.
