Many thanks to all of you who have helped me search. I now know that Frederick Adam Fuchs was baptised Evangelische in Eckweiler, Prussia, in 1785. His father was Johann Fuchs. His son, Johann Nicholas, emigrated to the US in 1842 and married Margaretha Wolfe in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in New York City in 1845. By 1850 they had 3 children and were living in Milwaukee, WI. In 1860 his wife was Catherina Koch, by whom he had several more children. Does anyone know how I can find his marriage records from Milwaukee if they're not on the LDS film I've ordered? Or info about Margaretha's parents, death, and burial? I've also ordered the Eckweiler church records in an effort to trace the lineage further back in Prussia.
