My mother, Josefina Fuentes Garcia was given away by Seferina to her brother Pedro Portillo. Pedro and his wife's infant son died so Seferina gave my mom to them probably due to hard times. Elvira lives in LA and she was living with Filiberto (her Dad) and her other brothers and sisters at a farm in McNary, Tx when Feliberto died. She stated to my mom that it was a very small town and that when he died they dug a hole and buried him. He may have died from complications due to alcohol. My mom spent her childhood in El Paso-they were all born in El Paso. My mom married my Dad, Maximo D. Garcia from Roswell, NM. I never met your grandmother but I remember my mom would mention Caro from time to time. I do remember visiting Aunt Dorothy in a small town in New Mexico that started with the letter C. She was a hoarder big time, her husband had a handlebar mustache. Would love to see your family tree but not sure how to view it.
