Scott,
There were a number of Hannahs who married Fugates or were daughters of Fugates in the 1700's and 1800's.
Hannah, (last name unknown) married Benjamin Fugate son of Martin.
Hannah, daughter of Martin Fugate(son of Benjamin & Hannah)and Mary married James Ritchie on August 12, 1826 in Perry County, Ky.
Hannah, great granddaughter of Martin and Mary married Samuel Ritchie.
Hannah, granddaughter of Martin through Zachariah Fugate and Polly Smith married James Madison Ritchie circa 1878.
Hannah Fugate (from Tennessee parents unknown) married John McDaniels in Perry County, Ky on August 11, 1826 and were listed as farmers in Perry County in 1850. John's age is given as 60 and Hannah's age is 49.So I don't think Hannah McDaniels is the same woman as Hannah who married James Richie, although their marriage dates are only one day apart.
Other Hannahs are Hannah Fugate who married James Smith in Perry County in November, 1822 and Hannah Clements who married William Fugate the son of Edward Fugate and Mary Hand of Bourbon County.
All these Hannahs can get confusing.
For more information you could search the Ritchie surnames in GenForum and search under Fugate. A Sharon Ritchie Faubus recently listed the Ritchie family.
Gary Fugate
