It appears that Townsend Fugate is your "brick wall," just like George Fugate is mine. And unfortunately, Townsend and Malinda didn't appear to follow the standard naming patterns for that time period, when they named their children. I believe their children were Francis, Rachel, Samuel, Thirza, Elizabeth, Hiram, Braxton, Pauline and Simeon. Except for Rachel, none of their children have traditional Fugate names. There is hope though, as the DNA data bank expands we may be able to match Townsend's line to one of Josias' sons, possibly Randolph or Francis or John or even Josiah. He seems to have grown up with the Fugates in Fauquier, Culpeper or Frederick County, Virginia.
