No Lilly, I'm not involved with any DNA testing. My interest is in connecting my ancestor George Fugate with Martin Fugate, who I believe (without any proof) is his father. One possible way to prove this connection is for me or one of my siblings to get our DNA tested and compared with known descendents of Martin Fugate. It is a project I hope to get started one of these days.

As with many families today, I assume that quite a few Fugates have had their DNA tested and I hope there is a site that records this data. I have relatives and friends who work with DNA and they educated me from time to time on the possibilities and new advances.

There are quite a few brick walls that could be opened if DNA could prove just a few connections. For instance, Could Josias be connected to Peter Fugate's known family?: Townsend Fugate could be connected to ???: Is James ffugeete connected to Peter?: Who is George Fugate's father?

So if a Fugate DNA site is already started I would like to find that out.
