Hi, Janice...My grandmother's maiden name was Fulcher and her family all came from a little village near Rochford called Little Stambridge. I know a bit about them, and have managed to find various birth, marriage and death certs that are applicable as well as several entries in the 1881 census which I have on about 20 CDs at home. I am not aware of an Emily Fulcher in my ancestry, but you never know! You might be interested that there is an Emily E. Fulcher born in about 1876 (she was 4 at the time of the census) and she has a brother called Edward George, 6 in the census, and her parents were called John Fulcher, 59, Ag(ricultural) Lab(ourer), and mother Anne Fulcher. Their address was North Shoebury House, North Shoebury, Essex. This is quite close to Rochford. I doubt whether your John Fulcher was a brother of my gggrandfather Robert William Fulcher, who was born in 1844, as he had a brother called John Fulcher born in 1838 - I have both their birth certs....Let me know if you think this Emily Fulcher is your ancestor...
