Another FULCHER family in Smyth county was Obadiah Fulcher who was the Son of Burgess Fulcher. Obadiah was born in Person county, NC. Burgess was the brother of Douglas Jackson Fulcher. Obadiah married Elizabeth Nancy Tibbs and had at least 12 children. The last of these children was Susie Amanda Fulcher who married William Andrew Webb, my wife's grandparents. I knew both Will and Susie. Both Burgess and Douglas Jackson Fulcher were the sons of Henry Byrd Fulcher and Mary Gregory.
