I have a Mary (Polly) FULCHER that was first married to a William CLARK. She married a James Arvin THORNTON of Strawberry Plains,Jefferson Co.,TN. She was bn in 1802,no state given. She died in Jefferson Co.,TN in 1870.

That is all I know about her, I wondered if she was somehow related to your FULCHER line as you mentioned a Benjamin Clark FULCHER.

I have no information on her family and siblings. Since you mentioned William CLARK FULCHER bn in 1805 in MD and md in VA could there be a possible connection?
Where in VA was he married?

James A. THORNTON was either bn in Lunenburg Co.,VA or Surry Co.,NC where he came from to Jefferson Co.,TN.

Michelle
