No known connection in Spotsylvania from my end, but VA is tough to recontruct. Spotsylvania is not far from Caroline Co. I know Richard moved from Caroline to Goochland to Amherst before moving to Barren Co., KY. Could have been same as surety for marriage of James Bailey and Mary Wright, Nov. 1, 1784, consent of her mother, Mary Wright, Certificate of marriage by the Rev. Benjamin Coleman, November 10, 1784 (order book 1784-1787) P. 59. Spotsylvania is close to site of Battle of Wilderness in Civil War near "Fulcher's Big Wood".

As for Humphries, our family connection is through line of Silas Redman Fulcher, Richard's grandson. Silas had son Thomas who had son Raymond who married a Humphries. The daughter became a Koller.
