Hello Kay, I was interested to note your Fulcher cousin's connecion to France. My 4th great grandfather, Churchill Fulcher/Fulsher/Fulshear was born about 1775, died 1831 in Texas, said he was born in France.

Do you think there was a French connection in your family's Fulchers that early? Churchill married Betsy Summers in Cravens Co., NC, in 1809. He lived in Illinois, Tennesse, Arkansas, and lastly, in Texas. He had mariner equipment in his possession. Could you inquire from your cousin just who were their earliest known connections in France and where they lived? and when? Gratefully, Joyce Louis, Bryan, TX
