Any Fulford male is invited to join the DNA testing project

This posting is in behalf of the Fulford DNA testing project, and Mark Green, the Group Administrator. I'm a Fulford descendant, hence my interest.

Any Fulford males, please contact Mark Green, Group Administrator, to discuss your joining the Fulford DNA testing project. More participants are needed to establish various Fulford lines of descent. Has to be a living male who was born with the surname Fulford, because the tests are of the DNA of the male Y chromosome which is passed from father to son(s) virtually unchanged over the eons.
Anybody can sponsor a male Fulford of their line, tho. By sponsor, I mean your email will be used by the Group Administrator and/or lab to relay test progress and results. Either the donor and/ or sponsor will also be responsible for payment of the testing costs. The cost have dropped to $148 plus $2 mailing fee of the DNA kit, for the 25 marker test, which is recommneded. The 12 marker is less money, but only proves you are not kin to other donors. You want to know if you are kin. The DNA sample is a cheek swab, simple and painless. The kit is mailed to the donor's address, instructions are included.

Go there and learn more about the Fulford DNA testing project.

Regardless of how far back your lineage is, three generations or thirteen, DNA testing can help your resarch. First off, if you match yDNA test results with another Fulford male donor, that will prove your paper lineage. The other donor may have his lineage further back than yours. The match in yDNA proves you both descended from a common ancestor, so you compare research notes to zero in on that common ancestor.

The project needs more donors, especially any male Fulfords who descend from the Carteret County NC Fulfords. I descend from John Fulford 1665-1712 thru three different Fulford lines. So that's my interest in getting more participants in the DNA testing project. It will prove who is really kin to whom.

Any questions, let me know.

Bill Morrow of Oklahoma
