Bryant Fulford of Washington and Jefferson County, Ga.

Has anyone established who were the parents of Washington County, Georgia's Bryant Fulford?

Bryant Fulford married Eliza Ann Fulford, the daughter of Milben Fulford of Pitt County, on Feb 23, 1823.

In Jefferson County he is appointed Constaple for the 85th district of Jefferson Couty, Ga. Militia on Jan 15, 1827.

(see Pg 147 of Annette J. Stewart's book, Days of Grass)

On Feb 20, 1854 Susan E. Smith legally changes her name to Susan E. Fulford (I), dau of Bryant Fulford of Washington, County.

(Footnote (I) has been used only if the Act statesthat the child was born out of wedlock, that the father was his "reputed" father, or he was recognized as illegitimate)
