Jacob Valentine Borah son of Jacob and Abigail (Aumiller) Borah and Permilia (Pamela) Fulkerson daughter of Phillip Fulkerson and Sarah Taylor lived in Jasper township in Wayne County Illinois. They had one son James Nathan Borah born in 1824. James married Catherine Darr born 25 December 1829. During the Civil War James became a member of thr 56th Illinois Infantry. It's said he was on the "General Lyons" when it burned at sea off the Cape of Hatteras on 31 March 1865, James was one of the men lost. On the third day of January 1829, proof was made of his death. Permelia and John Borah (his brother) were granted letters of administration of his death. I do not know where his is buried or if he was buried. It's said Catherine Darr Borah never stopped mouring his loss even on her death bed on 11 October 1917. She's buried in Fairfield Illinois.
Phillip Fulkerson was the son of Fulkert Fulkerson and Mary ? they had one other son named Jacob.
