Have just received the birth certificate for Lesley Max FULLAGAR mentioned in my previous posting. It gives his mother's maiden name as GRIGGS *not* Dawson as we had been led to believe.
Details from the certificate are:
Registration District Maidstone, subdistrict Loose, in the county of Kent
name: Lesley Max FULLAGAR (boy)
born: 10th December 1874 at Loose
father: James FULLAGAR, occupation Engine Driver in a Paper Mill
mother: Eliza Mary FULLAGAR formerly GRIGGS
informant: EM FULLAGAR (mother) of Loose
date of registration: 19th Jan 1875

Ring any bells with anyone?
