The actual spelling of our surname is the way that I spell it. e;g; FULHAM
It is taken from the village in Middlesex , England, which is today just a small district in the Greater London metroplois. To understand the origin of surnames of an "English" connection, it should be understood that the original people in England only permitted,by Law to have surnames being of Norman origin, hence they possessed family names which were derived from where they lived.
Saxons were banned from having names other than ,
e;g; Baker, Butcher, Cook(e) Thom(son)Jack(son)
Our family was known as le Blund de Fulham, literally the fairhair or blonde of Fulham.
Several centuries have seen us become known by the surnames of Whyte, and many variant mis-spellings of Fulham,
Our forefathers originally being Viking Warriors of Norway, conqueors of France England and Ireland.
