Donna,
I came across your postings about Jacob and Catherine Fulmer and I feel we have a connection.I do not know much about them but below is what I do know.
Jacob Fulmer Born about 1790 Westmoreland Co., PAmarried
Catherine Rhodes
Their daughter Maria Fulmer Born March 24, 1816, Westmoreland Co., PA and Died November 11, 1882 in LaHarpe, Allen County, Kansas.
Maria Fulmer married Joseph T. Augustine Born April 12, 1818 in Canton, Stark County, Ohio, Married December 8, 1839 and Died March 1, 1873 in Braceville, Grundy Co., Illinois.
Maria Augustine is buried at Harmony Cemetery in Allen Co., KS.As found in Cemeteries of Allen County Kansas. (except Highland and Mount Hope).Compiled by Lucile Winter and Frances Hill, printed under the auspices of The East Central Kansas Genealogical Society, Iola Kansas."
PAGE 101:
Augustine, Maria, wife of Joseph T. died 11-11-1882, age 60 years 8 months 7 days.
Next to Maria is a marker for Matilda 1842-1933.
Written about Harmony Cemetery:Located 3 miles East and 1 mile South of Savonburg, in the S.E. 1/4 of Section 34 Township 26 Range 21.On June 1, 1878, George H. Young and wife P. A. Young, deeded to the Board of Trustees of the Harmony Methodist-Episcopal Church, William H. Templer, Thos. J. Lambdin, John G. Anderson, Jacob Brenner and George H. Young one and one half acres as a buring ground or cemetery.Well maintained.
What is under debate from this point is the parents of Clara Ann Augustine, I have her parents are Maria and Joseph T. Augustine. This come from research that a great uncle conducted in the 1960's.Fellow Augustine researchers say my information is wrong.
I would like to visit with you if you feel we are indeed researching the same line.I saw the posting about the book titled "Kinfolk" and will check into buying that in the morning.
Thank you for your time,
Sharon Wilson
