Soldier lived in Surry County, NC at enlistment.He applied for pension 15 March 1833 in Stokes County, NC (formally a part of Surry County). The data which follows were obtained from papers on file in pension claim, p. W10034, based on the military service of Michael Fulp.
While living in Surry County, North Carolina, he enlisted and served as private with the North Carolina troops as follows:in 1776, four months in Captain William Dobson’s Company in Colonel Joseph Williams’ Regiment on an expedition against the Cherokee Indians; from July, 1781, three months in Captain David Humphreys’ Company in Colonel James Martin’s Regiment; also, served two weeks, names of officers not given, was engaged in guarding prisoners.
He was allowed pension on his application executed March 15, 1833, at which time he was living in Stokes County, which was formerly a part of Surry County, North Carolina.
It is stated that Michael Fulp was the brother of the soldier, Peter Fulp.
