I am submittingthisunder my wifes log in.My name is william. My grandfather prepared a family history for a fourth grade school assignment.
He traced our line back to one of five hessian brothers, who jumped ship and fought for the American side. Our unnamed progenitor wasgiven land for his service in Staunton, West Virginia, and walked with his son Martin, a silversmith, to land he was granted in Oxonia , Indiana, for service in the war of 1812.
Martin, had a son William, who was apparently a pharmacist, and had a family in Crothersville Indiana. My granfather Hollis B., stated his father left the family at age fifty, due to his mothers intense disposition, and started a second family.
I would be interested in finding any relatives of William, who maybe a common ancestor. My grandfather was born in 1889.So William would have been roughly fifty years senior.
