Henry J. FULTZ/FOLTZ was b 19 Jun 1799 in an area of Rockingham Co., VA that is now in Page Co. and d 27 Jun 1877 in Vermillion Co., IN. He m Veronica Frances HOLLINGSWORTH 22 Jan 1824 in Rockingham (now Page) Co., VA. She was b 08 Feb 1805 in Rockingham Co. and d 11 Jan 1874 in Vermillion Co., IN.
Henry's parents were David FULTZ/FOLTZ (1765-1831) and Elizabeth HUFFMAN (1766-aft 1830) who were m 10 Jan 1788 in Culpeper Co., VA by the Rev. William Carpenter. Henry's grandparents were Johannes VOLTZ/FULTZ/FOLTZ who just showed up in that area of Virginia in 1758 when he served in the Augusta militia. His wife was named Catharine, and they were assuredly German, but no one knows where he came from in Germany or exactly when he came to the USA. Elizabeth HUFFMAN was the daughter of George HUFFMAN (1739-1815) and his wife Mary Margaret GOOD. The Huffmans were part of the Germanna Colony.
Veronica Frances HOLLINGSWORTH was the daughter of William Christian HOLLINGSWORTH and Susannah GROVE who were m 11 Dec 1798 (bond) in Shenandoah Co., VA and moved with their family to Vermillion Co., IN. Veronica Frances had a sister Elizabeth who m Jacob Sanford FOLTZ (1805-1879) and also moved to Vermillion Co., IN. Jacob and Henry FOLTZ/FULTZ were brothers.
The Hollingsworth family were originally Quakers. The Foltz/Fultzes were Lutheran. If you find Hollingsworths in Vermillion Co., IN, they are probably your relatives :-)
