If you are still looking for info on Elma Funke, daughter of Ernest Funke, e-mail me at
My aunt, Miriam Cooley Funke, married William Henry Funke a brother to Elma. Ernest A. Funke married Augusta Lampe on 8 January 1902 in Lanham, Washington County, Kansas. Lanham sits right on the Nebraska/Kansas border. They settled in Gerardy which doesn't exist anymore. Most of their children always said they were born in Hollenberg which does still exist, but there isn't more than 50+ people there and only one small business. Ernest and Augusta are buried in Joy Creek Cemetery just a few miles outside of Washington, Kansas. They had 9 children in all. There are a few descendants of Ernest and Augusta's still in the Washington County area. I haven't done extensive research on the family, but I do have enough information to probably move your research forward and I may be able to put you in touch with some of the Funke descendants who can help you further.
