Christina Funkhouser, daughter of Abraham and Sarah (Fisher) Funkhouser of Rockingham County, VA, was born at Mt. Crawford, VA, 11 Aug. 1820, married George Lutz in Rockingham Co. VA, 31 Oct. 1844 and died in Johnson County, Missouri, 4 Oct. 1899. George Lutz was born 21 May 1823 and died in Missouri, 5 Nov. 1886. They lived in Augusta County VA (Mt. Crawford is on the Rockingham/ Augusta County line) until 1858, when they moved to Knob Noster, Missouri. Their children were Sally, John H., Julia C., Abraham (died as a child) and Laura V.
There appears to be no connection between this family and the George Lutts of PA and IL. What probably happened is that someone trying to identify the wife of George of PA, ran across the marriage of the other George in VA and assumed it was their fellow- a few transcriptions by different folks later- it wound up in the LDS files.
