Funkhouser Line - Virginia Based
Posted by: Dave Funkhouser (ID *****0017) Date: March 15, 2005 at 11:25:54

I'm interested in learning more about my family line. From family "lore" I am told that I am a direct descendant of Johannes, Jacob, Christian, Isaac, Phillip, Godfrey, John, Clarence, then Paul (in that order) but I have found some conflicting information about this and I'm getting a headache from all of this!!!

I'm also wondering if anyone knows if the "Jacob Funkhauser" named on the National Park Service Website on the muster roll in the Virginia Militia serving with then Col. Washington at Fort Necessity (PA) in July 1754 is in any way related to our family line!? IT would make sense based on Jacob Funkhouser living in Shenandoah Valley region of Viriginia during that time period. It would also greatly assist in my Colonial Living History Presentations.

Any assistance or information would be helpful.
My direct e-mail is" funk50@sbcglobal.net

Thanks - Dave
