Funkhouser DNA Project
Posted by: Daniel Bly (ID *****8203) Date: November 09, 2005 at 11:23:32

Since the exact relationship of the earliest Funkhouser pioneers in Virginia (John Sr. Jacob Sr. and Christopher) is unknown and the exact connection to their Swiss ancestors is also unknown, a DNA project might help refine and focus the research necessary to unravel these mysteries. All males have a 'y' chromosome inherited from their father's. DNA markings from two or more males can reveal how far back they share a common ancestor. If any Funkhouser males out there are interested please contact me at dwbly10@wmconnect.com. I am not a Funkhouser male but am willing to help co-ordinate this project since I am a Funkhouser descendant.
