My Thomas Jefferson Pope was from Bledsoe County, Tennessee. The Pope family moved from Arkansas to San Joaquin County, California. He was a millionare rancher who had 19 children, 17 of them were from him and Cherokee, Mourning West. I'm not sure where she was from. I think her parents were from North Carolina.
