Professor Bly,
I contacted you years ago about my Christina Funkhouser born in VA and married to George Nidever. They settled in Arkansas and died their near Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
The following gives info you sent me re:my Christina's parents.

My Funkhouser line is connected through Christina Funkhouser, born 1777 in Washington County Virginia to John and Elinore Funkhouser: John was born ca 1746/48 in Virginia and died August 30, 1828 in Buscombe Co., N.C. He was the son of Christian (later called Christopher) Funkhouser and Christina Brock. Christian was born probably in 1713 (per Daniel Bly) in either Bern or Alsace SW. Christina Brock dau of Rudolph Brock (Brach) and Anna Brock, was born ca 1722 in Mittelbach, German Palentine. Christian was the son of Christian Funkhouser and Magdalena Christen. This Christian was born 13Oct.1665 in Trub. Canton Bern, SW and his parents were David Fankhouser and Margaretha Kunn. I do not know Magdalena Christen's parents names.

My Christina Funkhouser married George Nidever in Sullivan County, TN in ca1792. They later moved west into Missouri and then to Crawford County, Arkansas. They had nine children and I do have all their names, but my link was their son Henry Nidever who was born in TN before they went west. Henry married Naomi Sinclair dau of Charles and Nancy Sinclair (her name was St.Clair and her parents changed it. They were from Ireland) Henry and Naomi's son Jacob J. Nidever was my GGGrandfather who died during a Civil War battle in Corinth, Ms. Jacob was married to Julia DeSpain daughter of "The Bridge Builder," Benjamin DeSpain & Narcissa DeSpain.

If any further info has been proven since receiving above, please advise per this forum or my email address.
