I do not have anything more to add to this, expect to say that I no longer believe that Christian (Christopher) Funkhouser, who was one of the three earliest Funkhousers in Virginia, was a son of Christian and Magdalena Christen Fankhauser. This couple has a son, Ulrich born in 1713 but there is no record of a Christian. At this point we still do not know the parents of Johannes, Jacob and Christian Fankhauser (Funkhouser), the first three in Virginia but DNA studies now prove they were closely related and also closely related to Christian and Michael Fankhauser (became Frankhouser) who settled in Lancaster County, PA and related to several of the lines of Fankhausers who remained in Switzerland.
