St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Nov. 22, 1901, Illinois Items: A.J. Funkhouser, who had the position as clerk at the state school for the deaf during the administration of Governor John R. Tanner, committed suicide in the cellar of his home in Jacksonville by shooting himself through the head. (Posted as a courtesy, not related.)
