Hello

My Family lived in Strokestown Roscommon and migrated to Australia. The Family lived in Kildalloge in the Mid 1800s.

The Furthest we can go back is to early 1800s to a James Furey Married to Elizabeth. They had a son called James Furey. Some say that James was the only son of a second marriage?

James (Son of James and Elizabeth) married Marry Collins and together had the following Children in the 1860's and 1870s:

Eliza, Michael, Thomas, Mary Ann, James, Patrick,Eleanor (Ellen),John, Martin, Catherine, & Joseph.

I come from Michael Furey lineage.

In our searches we also knew that there was another Joseph Furey who died in 1886. He would have been a brother to James senior. On his death record it mentions that his nephew Joseph Brennan was present at death. Not sure of the links to the Brennans.

I hope this may may be useful to anybody.

Our names can be seen in records as spelled Fury incorrectly
