Although I have been internet-active for a few years, I have just now gotten around to checking out the genealogy web-site.
Interesting.
I live in Atlanta, GA now, since 1963;but grew up in Cleveland. My Dad was Martin;his brothers were Joseph, John, and Leo, and his sisters were Eleonor and Theresa. All now deseased.
There are a number of Furins still in North Olmsted, OH.
Also, I found an enclave of Furins in Hibbing MN.
And, while in Washington, D.C., I found a Furin Cafe in Georgetown.Talked with him. He's from Pennsyvania;but did not express a lot of interest in pursuing this.
Also, I checked at the Library of Congress, when I was there, and found a Furin author in U.S.S.R.
Finally, our name "furin" means something off color in Japanese.
