Hi Fern,
Just having my annual trawl through my faamily tree I found your post re Edward Furner. He was the first son of Harriett Furner (The eigth child of Thomas Furner and christened 10 Feb 1788 in Brede, Sussex) Edward was himself christened 25th March 1810. There is no record of her being married at the time but she later married a John Jones

If you let me know your e-mail address I can send you a copy of my list of the Furners of East Sussex with details of sources etc.

There are currently nearly 1800 folks on the list resident throughout the world, from Australia to Salt Lake City and we live in France but now a Canadian connection. Genial!

Personally, my brothers and I are 12th generation direct male line descenents of Nycholas Furner born "before 1645" in Brede Sussex.

I hope that this 'fills in the gaps' for you.

Kindest regards
Ron Furner
