I have two photographs of the Furr family, taken about 1900, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. The group family photo was taken at “the old Lit Hadley Place”, and shows men, women and boy but identifies: Elmira Hatley Furr, daughter of Isaac & Sarah (Furr) Hatley, and her husband Adam Lawson Furr, son of Adam & Sarah (Whitley) Furr.

The photo of nine adult men, possibly a ball team, identifies only Levi & Ira Furr.

I found Adam and Elmira Furr in the 1880, 1900 & 1910 censuses for Dover (Pope Co.) AR, showing Adam Lawson Furr was born Jul 1852, and Elmira Dec 1850, both in NC. Children included Robert Ira, born Jan 1885, and Adam Levi, born Oct 1870 (although the 1880 census shows him as 7 yrs. old).

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to the Furr family of Pope Co., Arkansas.
