No, I don't have information on Jacob after the 1850 census of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. His family is in Dwelling 1132
FURR, Daniel C. 44 born in Cabarrus Co. NC a miller
Sarah E. 24 born Cab. Co.
Jacob 13 born in Cab. Co.
Sarah A. 11 born in Cab. Co.
McDaniel 3 born in Cab. Co.
Martha I. 1 born in Cab. Co.

I didn't find the family in the 1860 Cabarrus Co. NC census. But they are in the 1870. Jacob is no longer at home and is not listed in Cabarrus Co.
Furr, Daniel C. 65
Sarah E. 45
Mary A. 13
Henry A. 10
Alice L. 5

That is about all I have found on this family. I'm not even sure who this Daniel C. Furr belongs to. Bill Furr and others state he is the son of Henry Furr and Rhoda Stallings.

Bill Furr lists you as a source for Jacob Furr on his web page and includes an obituary for Jacob from Gadsden, Alabama.

There were other FURR families in Georgia and Mississippi, but long before the Civil War. Paul M. Furr, son of Leonard Furr died in Hall County, Georgia. A brother and sister of Paul M. were in Mississippi.

I sure do wish I lived closer to North Carolina, so I could do more research on the FURRs and well as HATLEY, CARTER, FORREST, EUDY, etc. My mother's entire family was from Stanly Co. before moving to Pope County, Arkansas.
