Phurrough and Furrow?

We have always spelled our name Phurrough, but on the 1850 census of Al. it was spelled Furrow. Phurrough's we heard moved into Al. area in early 1800's AT LEAST. 1st record in 1839 Talladega Cty. Al. The Phurrough's of those days were John,Daniel Morgan,Elsie,
Sarah Ann and POSSIBLY a Hester Fleming with Ester Phurrough. They have variously listed their orgins as Virginia and Tennessee. Some of these moved on to the 1850's, but my Great-Great-Grandfather John B. Phurrough stayed in Bama.
All Phurrough's today are decended from him THAT I'M AWARE OF. Please contact me if you have any additional info. Thanks, Rex
