Rebecca, We do descend from the same person, I do believe. I would have to recheck my files to see just how that is. Darwin Furrow was Nellie Deland's brother I believe. I was fortunate enough to visit a cousin in June and she had two signed copies of that book, Furrows of the Land. One had belonged to her mother and she gave it to me. I have completed re-reading it. I had a hard cover copy a few years back but it was misplaced. I have been trying to replace it. I would be interested in your sources of the first Furrows to America and any stories about them. Also any photographs as well.
