Ann Elizabeth Furry, 1806-1887, Canada

I'm looking for information on my Great Grandmother, Ann Elizabeth Furry, b. 25 Jun 1806, Montreal, d. 14 Oct 1887, Montreal. She married Robert Dalrymple, 1789-1875. It is said that her father was Henry Furry, a shoemaker in Montreal, and her mother Ann Budge.

I am aware of the story of the Indian raid of John Furry's family in Pennsylvania, with the youngest son, Henry, being taken and ending up in Montreal. However, I have nothing to tie this Henry Furry to "my" Henry Furry, although the dates are compatible.

It seems to me that it might be the same man; it would not be hard for a trapper/trader used to working with skins to settle down in the "big city" as a shoemaker. But who knows!

Any information is welcomed, and if anyone is interested in the many descendants, on the Dalrymple side, of Ann Elizabeth Furry, I have a good tree.

By the way, the generation reference--my GGrandmother--is correct. Her and Robert's youngest son, James, was my grandfather; he married twice and my father was the youngest of the three sons from his second marriage. James was 60 when dad was born in 1909.
