I have some more info about my Mary. My grandmother had some papers that stated that Mary Fury came from Loughrea,Co. Galway. Her father's name was Denis, this was written on the marriage certificate. There was also a piece of paper with her things that said, Mary Fury of Loughrea, Co. Galway Ireland has given 10 sons to the war, 5 killed in France, 1 a prisoner in Germany, 1 still fighting, 1 nursing an arm shattered by bullet, 1 recovering from wounds, don't know about 10th. I also have the little prayer card that would have been given out at her funeral, it even has her photo on it.
I hope this is abit more helpful!
thank-you for all your help,
Rachel Hanlon
