Fabius Fuselier was my grandfather. Your grandmother was his third and last wife and as far as I know they married before he went blind with glaucoma. My own grandmother was his first wife and he also had children by a second, but I knew only the last one. She was called Cassiah, as I remember. Are you sure about the name?
Could this be the Cas-chaud you ask about?
He owned a lot of rental property in Eunice on the opposite corner of the city block on which the Post office was built. Later he sold or traded this for rental property on what was then called St. Louis street, on the east side of the Eunice High School grounds. It was called locally "Bluesy" street, a reference to St Louis blues, I think. I haven't been there since 1960 and I heard it was later called Fuselier Street.
Yours is the first reference to Fabius I have ever seen.
