Are you familiar with information on Gabriel Fuselier de la Claire, the original Fuselier in La., in the following sources:
1) Annotated Census of Attakapas from 1700s
2) Book by Winston De Ville on the Opelousas Post which has lots of discussion of Gabriel
3) another book, can't remember the author, totally on Gabriel and the Fuseliers. Sorry, I can't give details since my records are packed away in storage for a while. My primary interest is in Christine Sylvanie Fueslier, who married Dr. Francois Barthelemy LeBeau de la Barre in St. Martinsville, and her ancestors and descendants. I have quite a bit of info. on her ancestors, esp. Gabriel, the Romans, Agricole F. and wife Anne Berard. [Have you seen the book "Fortier and Allied Families" which has some on the Fuseliers [incomplete and perhaps slightly inaccurate] and esp. lots on the Romans?] I would especially like to have information on Anne Berard's father Jean Berard's ancestors [probably back in France].
Dr. F.B. and Sylvanie LeBeau had a large plantation home near New Orleans on the Mississippi River, which is still standing, although it apparently was damaged by fire in the mid-1980s. Does anyone have information on their children and who they married? Their daughter Mathilde married Bernard Dubuclet Dauterive, son of Antoine Bernard Dauterive and lived in the New Iberia area [Loreauville].
