Your post reminded me of the time I visited France around thirty years ago - still have great memories of it.

Did you see my post on the Fuselier Coats of Arms? I'm still reading old French books of heraldry and haven't found any attributable to Pierre's family in particular. Neither has Ardoin. I'd love to hear which one is shown in Lyon, and which Fuselier branch it belongs to.
My husband's line is Pierre, Gabriel (wife Jeanne Roman), Agricole (wife Christine Berard), Gabriel Laclaire (wife Iphegenie Frere), their daughter Emma Marie Louise Fuselier Baker, widow, who married John Brownson in Louisiana. Also, John's son Anthony Wayne Brownson married Clara Marie Fuselier, daughter of Alfred Agricole Fuselier, Emma's brother.

I have about 20 French books to go through and translate - looking for the connnection you believe is correct re 1500's Fuseliers.

Happy Thanksgiving.
