This is the same George Braughn in my family tree. My great grandfather was James Behlar, George's half brother. George Braughn's parents, George Braughn Sr and Catherine Erford Braughn were in the Cincinnati area - after George Sr died, Catherine married August Behlar and had son, James. From what I understand, George Jr. left Cincinnati at the age of 14 for New Orleans. After August Behler died (1850s/1860s) Catherine and James came to New Orleans where George Jr lived. Catherine and James lived in New Orleans until their deaths.
