Hello Claudia,
My g-grandparents were Jacques Theaux and Marie Mathilde Duchamp de Chastaigne. Jacques was the overseer to the Duchamp de Chastaigne sugar plantation.Mathilde's sister, Adrienne Duchamp de Chastaigne was married to Rodolphe Fuselier de la Claire. Rodolphe's father, Gabriel and mother Bazilie, were 2nd cousins. Both were Fuselier de La Claire. Now Ludgar Adolphe and Emelie David were Bazilies parents. I think your grandfather,Ludgar Joseph was Bazilies brother although I do not have confirmation for this? I have extensive genealogies of many families of St. Martinville and would very much like to hear from you and perhaps do a little genealogy:-) Email me soon wilkersontheaux@yahoo.com

Sincerement,

Eric Wilkerson-Theaux
