Early Fuss records with "▀"

Has anyone in the US found a way to digitally search Fuss recorded with the German letter '▀'? It is also known as "Scharfes S" or "S Set". I have found "Fu▀" in US census images in the late 1700 & early 1800 in Frederick MD. Visual scanning has worked but shortcut ideas would help find Fu▀ ancestors.
