Eugene Louis Fuss, 78, of Bolivia
Eugene Louis Fuss, 78, of Bolivia died Monday, December 31, 2001, at Dosher Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Peacock-Newnam Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be at a later date at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N. Y.
Fuss was born August 17, 1923, in St. Albans, N. Y., son of the late Eugene and Mary Fuss, and moved to Bald Head Island from Minneapolis, Minn., in 1985. A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a graduate of Columbia University. For many years he worked as an electrical engineer with A.D.T. Security Systems in New York City and retired from Honeywell Corporation in Minneapolis.
An avid fisherman, he was a former member of the Bald Head Island Volunteer Fire Department and was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Reid Fuss of the home; a son, Eugene L. Fuss II of Plum City, Wisc.; a grandson, Jaime Fuss.
The family will receive friends at Peacock-Newnam Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Anerican Diabetes Association, 1660 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.
