Hi Nathan,

I have FUSS family in Butler, PA listed in the 1870 census with the "Scharfes S" spelling. I was able to find them by typing in FUSS through Ancestry.com.

Is your FUSS family German? Mine are from Hesse Castel.
They went on to use Foose, Fuchs and various other spellings.
