Jo McPhail,
I really don't know if the E.Fussell in Dale County, AL in 1880 could be Enoch Fussell or not. I do not have where he died but I do know he was born in Duplin County, North Carolina although census taker did make a lot of mistakes about placing where a person was born. I have found where some of my ancestors were listed as being born in two or more places in census reports. So since the age fits and Dale County, AL isn't too far from either Muscogee Co. GA or Chattahoochee Co. GA this E. Fussell is most likely your Enoch Fussell. I suggest you contact Fleeta Fussell Todd at fftodd@juno.com she has been researching the Fissell Family for many years and has written two books about the Fussell's who migrated to and through Georgia from Duplin County, North Carolina. Fleeta may know about Enoch Fussell.
Keep in touch I need a lot of Fussell data that I don't have.
Ernest
