Yes, that helps a lot and it was very interesting. That is the most I've heard about the Futhey origins.
Did someone inherit Inez Bidwell's papers?
It would certainly be a shame to lose them.
Do you have a translation from the Latin of the documents you mention?

What you have relayed has really piqued my interest now in the Futheys. I was somewhat discouraged before because of the conflicting guesses that I was reading.
Now I need a good Scottish/Irish history book.
