Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
From the book, CAPTAIN NINIAN STEELE AND HIS DESCENDANTS, "On the 15th of March, 1770, he (Ninian) married Miss Elizabeth Chambers, who was born March 6, 1748. She was a daughter of Henry and Jane (Futhy) Chambers, of Lancaster, possibly Chester, County, Pennsylvania. Henry Chambers was born July 13, 1708, and his wife in 1715. They were married Nov. 14, 1735. Henry Chambers and family moved to Iredell County, N. C., about 1754, where he died Oct. 1783, and she June 25, 1781."
That is all I have on the Chambers family. I did get a copy of a DAR application--National Number 542451--of a distant cousin. She applied under Ninian Steele and used as reference this same book and other references.
I don't know that she had any more on the Chambers family. I will gladly share all I have with you. Please email me with your address and I will mail the pages that I copied from the Ninian Steele book.
